Remote/On-Site Licensed Occupational Therapist (Contract on 1099)

We are providing Occupational Therapy services to our awesome clients and currently seeking a qualified OT therapist to join our dynamic team. This role is either on-site or remote. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy to individuals on the autism spectrum. The OT will assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans to help clients improve their independence and participation in meaningful daily activities, known as “occupations”.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment: Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations using standardized and informal assessment tools to determine the client’s strengths and challenges related to sensory processing, motor skills, self-regulation, and daily living activities.

    Treatment Planning: Develop personalized, client-centered intervention plans with measurable goals based on evaluation results and in collaboration with the client and family.

  • Therapy Implementation: Provide direct occupational therapy sessions using a variety of techniques, including:

    • Sensory integration and sensory-based strategies.

    • Motor skills training for fine and gross motor development.

    • Play-based therapy to enhance social, motor, and cognitive skills.

    • Activities of daily living (ADL) training, such as dressing, eating, and grooming.

    • Social-emotional and self-regulation strategies.

  • Collaboration: Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, which may include Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), and educators, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to care.

  • Family and Caregiver Support: Educate and provide training to families, caregivers, and teachers on therapeutic strategies and home programs to support goal consistency across all environments.

  • Documentation: Complete all necessary documentation, including evaluation reports, progress notes, and re-evaluation summaries, in a timely and accurate manner to ensure accountability and track progress.

  • Caseload Management: Independently manage a caseload, prioritize tasks, and adjust intervention plans as needed based on ongoing monitoring of client progress.

  • Professional Development: Stay current with the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy for autism through continuing education and professional literature.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Licensure: Current, active, and unrestricted state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.

  • Certification: Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

  • Experience: Previous clinical experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
